Feather Friendly® Black markers are recommended for most fly-through, see-through areas such as clear glass railing systems and glass balustrades around decking and pool areas. In these circumstances, black can be much more visible on both sides of the glass, making them more effective at preventing fly-through collisions
Why Black Markers?
Collisions can also occur when birds try to “fly through” a space where there are clear barriers, such as on clear railing systems and balustrades. Just as vision strips prevent humans from walking into glass barriers, Feather Friendly® Black Markers alert birds to the presence of a clear solid surface.
An easy to use product that is suitable for fly-through, see-through areas such as clear glass railing systems and glass balustrades around decking and pool areas. New Back DIY 1/4” square, 2” spaced markers provide the best combination of collision avoidance, longevity, appearance and visibility to birds, while still maintaining your home’s outside views and natural light. Feather Friendly® is a simple solution with a meaningful impact that protects our winged friends and supports bird conservation efforts.
The 1 Roll Kit *Black* contains the following components:
- One 100 ft. roll of *Black* Feather Friendly Residential clear glass railing tape (1/4” squares, 2” spacing)
- Measuring Tapes (2)
- Installation Instructions (click to view full installation instructions)
- Marker-pattern Tape coverage: One 100 ft. roll protects a glass surface (2′.5 x 6′.5 feet) or (16 square feet) of clear glass railing systems and glass balustrade.
Installation & Cleaning Instructions
Application Temperature: Marker-pattern Tape should not be installed at temperatures below 10°C or 50°F. Make sure your window is clean before applying the markers.
Feather Friendly Window Markers Will Not Damage Glass Surfaces or Exterior Glass Coatings, such as Solar Reflective, Low-E, or other types of glass treatments.
